Your safety is the quest.

Flare is built for real connection, and real connection requires real trust.

Our safety commitments

Verified Users

Public quests require identity verification: a one-time check against government ID to confirm you're you. We don't store your ID. We don't sell it. It just ensures everyone's real.

Approximate by default

Location is off by default and approximate unless you choose to share more. Privacy first, always.

You're In Control

You decide who sees your quests and who can join.

Real Moderation

We review safety and policy reports when they arrive.

Friends only means friends only.

Private quests are invisible to everyone except who you personally invite. Your plans, your people, your privacy.

Meeting someone new for the first time?

Here's what keeps you safe when you're in a public quest.

Reputation visibility: You can see everyone's reputation before joining. Know if they show up. Know if they're solid.

Approximate location: You see the area, not the exact address. Decide if it's accessible for you. Always.

Safety controls

Block instantly

Block a user immediately to prevent further contact. Blocking also ends the friendship, and unblocking does not restore it. A fresh request would be needed to reconnect.

Report with context

Report a user or quest at any time for reasons such as feeling unsafe in person, harassment, threats, abusive or sexual messages, or no-shows. Serious reports require a written explanation, can include a photo as evidence, and go to the front of the support queue.

Host with control

Hosts approve or reject requests for public quests after seeing a profile and reliability, remove someone with a reason, keep quests friends-only, and can block or report. Attendees can see reputation, show-up rate, and quests run before committing.

Choose what you share

Leave a quest before or during it. Before joining, you see only an approximate area; the full address appears after an activated quest is joined. Location sharing is off by default, approximate unless you choose otherwise, visible only to participants, and permanently deleted when the quest ends. Public quests require server-enforced 18+ signup and third-party identity verification; friends-only quests do not.

See something wrong?

Tell us immediately. We take every report seriously.
