Two ways to move. Join something already happening, or make the thing happen yourself.
Path one
Find something worth leaving the house for, commit before the window closes, and make a record of actually being there.
The feed shows quests happening soon near you. Each card shows the cover photo, title, category, rough area, countdown timer, committed people out of the number needed, and the host. It is ordered by urgency, not by what was posted most recently. The quest closest to its deadline sits at the top, while newer quests with more time left move down. Quests that fill up leave the feed, then come back if someone leaves and a place opens.

If the host is a friend and the quest is friends-only, you join straight away. If the host invited you personally, you are already holding a place and can join at any time, even if the quest looks full to everyone else. For quests open beyond the host's friends, you send a request and the host decides. They can see your profile and reliability before they answer.
Every quest has a minimum number of people. Until that number commits, nothing is confirmed. The moment it is reached, the quest activates and everyone is told it is happening. If the timer runs out first, the quest expires and lands in your Missed section so you can see what you did not make it to.
Every quest has its own group chat, open from the moment it is created. Work out where to meet, who is bringing what, and who is running late.
Inside the chat, you can choose to share your location with the group. It is never automatic. It defaults to an approximate area rather than an exact pin, and you can share your precise spot instead if you choose. Whatever you share is deleted when the quest ends.
This is the whole point of the app.
Once the quest is under way, everyone who is there can add photos and video into a pool that only the people at that quest can see. It is a shared camera roll for that night.
When the quest ends, choose which photos from that pool go on your own profile. Everyone chooses their own, so two people at the same quest can display completely different photos of the same night. Your profile becomes a record of places you actually went, not posts you made.
If the host put real work in, you can tip them. Only people who actually attended can tip.
Turning up raises your show-up rate, which other people can see. Attending on five separate days in a row starts a streak, and once it is running you keep it alive by attending at least once every 48 hours.
Path two
Put an idea into the world, bring the right people together, and build a reputation by following through.
Give it a title people will understand at a glance, then pick a category.
Use your own photo or pick one of Flare's ready-made covers. The cover is what people see in the feed, so it matters.
Set a rough area, not an exact address. Nobody needs your front door to decide whether they are coming.
Set a minimum and a maximum. The minimum is the number that makes it worth doing. Below that, the quest does not happen at all. Set it honestly: too high and nothing ever activates, too low and you are committed to a night with one other person. The maximum is where you stop. Once it is reached, the quest drops out of the feed.
Decide how long people have to commit. Short windows create urgency, while longer windows give people time to see it. A quest for tonight should not have a window that closes tomorrow.
Choose friends only, or open it beyond your friends so people you have not met can ask to join.
Invite specific friends. Anyone you invite holds a place, so they can still join even after the quest fills up.
For quests open beyond your friends, people send requests and you decide. You can see each person's profile and show-up rate before you answer. You are never obliged to accept anyone.
When enough people have committed, the quest is confirmed and everyone is told.
Use the group chat to sort out details. If someone needs to be removed, you can do that, and you choose a reason so they understand what happened rather than being cut without explanation.
Mark the quest complete when it is done. If you forget, it wraps up on its own 48 hours after it activated, so nobody is left waiting on you.
People who came can tip you. You keep 70 percent. The 30 percent Flare takes covers payment processing and app store fees, and what gets sent to you is exactly your 70 percent.
